WordPress.com Now Updates via Twitter

by YODspica Authors on December 13, 2009

WordPress now provides the service from its framework of integrating with the Twitter.  Following this development, now any Twitter app that supports a custom API URL can be used to either post updates to WordPress.com, or read subscribed post updates.  Applications such as:  Tweetie 2, an iPhone and desktop Twitter client, will present solutions for this development.

From Twitter’s massive traffic,  WordPress is also hoping that this integration will help its growth and further increase its status. Its only natural to offer Twitter integration, as the trend is very much on the growth from third party applications.  This follows what WordPress’s founder Matt Mullenweg told ReadWriteWeb recently.

From integration of WordPress Framework with Tweetie is an excellent solution.  The requirement being adding your WordPress account to Tweetie’s settings and you will then be able to post a status update to your WordPress.com and thus showing on your blog/site.  Furthermore, you may choose to have geotagging to show the location of your status update.
