Following the Google Chrome Extensions site, which was meant for developers that were allowed to upload their creations to Google. However, Google promised end users who were looking for chrome extensions that they would soon be able to benefit from these add-ons. Following a credible source we can confidently say that this will finally happen within the next week, probably in the middle of the week.
The unvelling may be at the Add-on-Con 09, a conference devoted to browser add-ons, as it takes place next Friday. Furthermore, Google Chrome is a Gold Sponsor of the event.
Apparently, the Extensions Gallery will be much like the Chrome Themes Gallery. It will be a page that lists extensions and has a button to one-click download.
Several developers already have their extensions ready to go for Chrome. Some extensions have already been available unofficially for Chrome for some time such as: Chrome Extensions.
Initially, Extension support will only be for the Windows-based version of Chrome. Chrome’s open source linux will support extensions as soon as the beta version becomes available.
